Well its happened already, Analog is gone. No more white vs black ants (static). DTV is okay I've been watching it since last October. The picture quality is definitely better. You will either get get good reception or no reception, thats how it works with digital. With the converter box you feel like you have cable or satellite.

You get program info and upcoming shows. It takes a second or two when you change the channel for it to decode and start showing. In my area we now have about twice as many channels as before, half of which being public television, weather, or religion programs. Now I can see Bob Ross every day!

I wonder whats going digital next......
